Rountree Photography
Also Known As

Mickey Rountree Photography has been in business since 1991. I first
got interested in photography when I borrowed my Dad's Canon FTb to photograph a
motorcycle race. I knew nothing about the camera or photography, but a friend
helped me get going that weekend. After my Dad died I inherited the camera and
began shooting more. One of the very first pictures I took won in the Kodak
KINSA contest and I was hooked.
I
studied photography later at Cleveland State Community College, where my classes included large format/commercial,
portraiture, color negative and transparency processing, and black and white photography.
I have studied commercial photography with Dean Collins, glamour photography with Ken
Marcus and Nancy Brown, and portrait photography with Charles Lewis, Ed Pierce, and Marty
Rickard. I shoot in all formats....4X5, 6X7, and 35mm (Canon of course - generally
my trusty F1's).
I am also
the Webmaster of the PSC
(Photographic Society of Chattanooga). And in my spare time I also
play
drums and percussion.
